Spreading the News!

~Day 34~

Slept somewhat late (8-ish). Finally got up & got dressed.  We went and ate lunch at Cheddar's then headed over to Ken & Carla's.  We saw Nathan's truck there when we pulled up (my sister-in-law's fiance) and found Ken, Nathan and Kaylee around back working on various projects.  I asked Kaylee, "So how's Aunt KayKay doing today?" She almost knocked me down hugging me :) Carla called Poppa Charles and she was chatting with him for a little while and then she asked where Mrs. Nora was.  He told her she was at the store and Carla told him, "Well you better call her and tell her to get some diapers for that great grandbaby!" He was so excited, you could hear it in his voice. Then she told us we better tell Uncle Chuck.  So I texted him and said, "How's Great-Uncle Chuck doing today?" He called and asked, "Now did you mean that I'm a great uncle or I'm going to be a great-uncle?" We explained and he was ecstatic as well.  He exclaimed, "I didn't even know ya'll was gardening!" We hung around there for a little while longer and then headed out to Derrick's house (Cory's best man).  We hung out and Cory played with their boys for a while.  Then we told him we were expecting and he started bouncing off the walls with excitement! He started asking a million questions and repeating over and over, "That's so exciting! I'm so excited for ya'll!" Then he started reminding Cory about paybacks. (Side Note: We've kind of pseudo-adopted his kids. We brought them fire engines one year that made a lot of noise and flashy lights and we always seem to rile them up real good while we're there (never on purpose;) so Derrick is ready for payback).  We said our goodbyes and headed out to Shirley's for dinner (Cory's Grandma).  Cory went over and when he hugged Shirley, he whispered we were expecting and she started clapping and laughing.  Then she started getting on to me for not telling her sooner (see Nov. 9). Kaylee texted Kennan (sorry Kennan I didn't tell you sooner! (roommate from college)) When we finally got back home, Cory posted on his facebook that we were expecting.

Overall a really good day with lots of excited people, all of which really helped my mood.
